Jeremiah Downing in Australia 1828

Jeremiah Downing was a labourer, convicted in Yorkshire of ‘stealing from a person’ and sentenced to 7 years prison in Australia. Transported on the Bussorah Merchant on 24 March 1828 to New South Wales, he later married and has many descendants.
